As our world becomes increasingly interconnected, it is critical for our students to become more culturally aware and globally-minded. To be able to experience the global classroom first-hand, and to see what they have been studying in their classes come to life, is life-changing and gives them new perspectives not only of themselves but also the world around them. Congratulations to the Middle School Mock Trial Team for an outstanding performance at the 2016 competition at the Durham County Courthouse. Several RLS students, Sean McDowell and Michael Austin (Best Attorney) and Dylan Tucker (Best Witness) were recognized for individual awards. These students were part of a select group chosen by the judges for the overall competition! Congratulations to them, but also congratulations to all of the students. They played great, and we are very proud of them! A special thanks to Jenny Hundertmark and Linda Ward for their enthusiastic leadership and insight in preparation for the competition!
