RLS Mission
Resurrection Lutheran School is committed to educating generations of children in the training and instruction of the Lord.  Because of this commitment, we will provide a Lutheran educational experience that is Christ-centered as well as academically focused for children in grades Kindergarten through eighth.

"Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it"

Proverbs 22:6
CARY LIVING November/December 2007

At Resurrection Lutheran School, Christ-centered academic excellence is offered in a warm, caring and nurturing environment.  "Each day, our students experience a very special kind of learning atmosphere. " explains Rosie Creasy, RLS principal.  "Teachers, administration, church staff and parents work together to plant seeds in the hearts and minds of our students through discipline, respect, guidiance, encouragement, sound educational strategies and daily modeling of Christian love."

Resurrection Lutheran School was founded in 2001 and continues to grow in numbers and facility size.  "A new building (set to be completed Spring 2008) will house additional classrooms, a dedicated library and a gym," says Creasy, "and will allow our school to serve students through the eighth grade starting next year."

Reading, writing and math drive the core curriculum, and RLS then integrates these basics with religion, science, social studies, literature, physical education, music, art, Spanish, and technology.  "Our curriculum, " asserts Creasy, "is challenging and encourages children to think for themselves." Creasy goes on to explain that RLS teachers are given the freedom to highlight their own unique gifts, interests and talents in the classroom to further enrich the curriculum.

An education at Resurrection Lutheran School means that a child is supported, encouraged and taught by teachers, parents and the church - all three playing integral roles in developing each child to their fullest potential.  According to Creasy, "The students are remarkable, the parents are supportive and helpful, and the teachers are top-notch--it's a true blessing to be part of something so special."
